Manuel Rivera Robles died Monday, Nov. 28, peacefully at his home in Yucaipa.
He was born May 16, 1940, in Douglas, Arizona.
Manuel was a carpenter by trade until an injury when he became a union organizer for the Carpenters Union. He turned his organizing skills to the Nurses Union.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially attending his grandson Jason's baseball and basketball games.
Manuel also enjoyed watching the Dodgers, going to the Dodgers spring training and planting his garden every spring.
Manuel is survived by his daughters Sandra Bastida and her husband David and Betty Jo Robles of Yucaipa; son Manuel Eric Robles of Dana Point; grandchildren Aaron and Ian Bastida, Kayla and Jason Williams and Eli, Lucas and Maya Robles; sister Evelina Robles; brothers Carlos (Irma) Robles and Leo (Dolores) Robles. Manuel is also survived by his beloved dog and loyal companion "Pickles".
He is predeceased by his wife, Hilda Robles, who passed away Dec 1, 2015.
